Sanctification By Grace

September 30, 2007

The Ordinary Means podcast for October deals with the necessity of seeing sanctification as a divine work, or as the Westminster Catechism puts it, “a work of God’s free grace”. So often we talk about justification in this light, but fail to see that every day of our life is filled with the gracious working of God to conform us to the image of His Son. Enjoy.

Misquote: Justification and Adoption are “acts” of God’s free grace, but WSC defines Sanctification as a “work” of God’s free grace. I haven’t listened to this month’s yet, but it’s downloaded, and I’m looking forward to see what you guys have to say about sanctification!

Thank you for the message. I have reached that point in my spiritual life that I am living and understanding what you are saying. It is so amazing how this process of sanctification drives me closer to Him.
